About

Jay Neilson is a motion designer living in Brooklyn, New York. Born and raised in Seattle, WA, he started his career learning video production from a bootstrapped team surrounding hometown heroes Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. While completing his Bachelor's Degree in Media Studies at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, he followed his passion at the intersection of music and visual art through developing his own photography business (capturing the likes of Lil Yachty, Solange Knowles, Miguel and more).

He has since shot over 40,000 images, advanced branding for streetwear company Wisdom, and unified marketing for 5 businesses. Currently pursuing a career in 3D animation and design, Jay has attained an affinity for Cinema 4D and Redshift, steadfastly working to unlock his full creative potential. 

In his free time, you’ll find Jay creating silly renders, devouring an audiobook fantasy series or flying a Cessna 172 Skyhawk.
